Curb Weightage

can someone tell me how much a '98 f150 v-6 regular cab flareside weighs... and possibly a '95 dodge ram 1500 magnum v8?

i wanted to know, cause i raced for the firstime yesterday with my friend mike... he was driving the dodge... i must say i kicked his *** off the line , even with a rather sloppy start off, and i was wondering if it was because his was heavier

My weight

I had mine weighed at 4080 lb with a full tank of gas, but mine is a 4.2L reg cab, styleside, 5spd.

I had to register in California and weigh it. So w/o a passenger seat, spare tire, and only 1/2 tank of gas, I got 3980 lb.

>4000 lb is about $50/yr cheaper to register here in Cali. for a grand total of $180.
It was so much cheaper to register in Texas only about $60.

the weigh scales at the local dump consistantly weigh my 4.2 reg cab style side at 4020.

A flareside with plastic sides would be the same or slightly lighter.

Yep,

I just moved back to Houston this week. The vert is still in San Jose. I am already missing it. I loved driving her with the top down all the time. San Jose has perfect weather for it. It almost never rains and lots of sun.

Howdy,

My '97 Flareside SWB V-6 5-speed weights 'bout 4250lbs w/ my fat *** in it. I'm 6' 1 3/4" and weigh bout 240lbs, So I think about 3950lbs w/out fuel and juck behind the seat!

I've been real disappointed in the power level of all the new V-8 Dodge trucks ('95 & 2001) that I have driven.

Real disappointed!

Paul

A flareside actually weighs 60 pounds more than styleside all other things being equal, eng, trans, etc...
