Did you sell it? How much did you get for the truck if you did?

overheating solution at least for now

Thanks for the follow-up basecamp. I will look forward to hearing if your new radiator gives you an improvement. One user in the forum noted that 13 months after he replaced his radiator he was still saying it solved his overheating problem. Last week I started wondering if the cattle gaurd (or brush guard or whatever you want to call it) was obstructing enough air to be causing my overheating when under load towing up hills. It was on the truck when I bought it 6 months ago. I decided to try it without it on and sure enough I did the same hills pulling the same boat within 10 degrees of the same temperature and I didn't have any problems overheating in the same places where I had trouble before. I was doing it without any bumper at all mind you.

I haven't bought a replacement bumper yet so we'll see what happens when I do that. Interesting to note that I was at the Ford dealer in Salt Lake City and looked at about 5 different Eco Boost's that were there waiting for service. On at least half of them someone (presumably their owners) had removed the plastic grill from the center opening in the bumper which is roughly twice as long as a license plate. Maybe the restricted air even on the stock bumper is a compounding problem that people are aware of.

You have to make sure the problem is to suggest to the fore so they tell you exactly, the same thing happened to me in the past

it can also be customized like a lot of the guys on here have done. noticeable differences in power, a slight and i do mean slight increase in economy.
