Price on 2000 F150

Im looking at getting a F150 its a 2000 with 90000 miles on it. It has a system, power everything, 2wd, supercab, billet grill, euro tail (which I dont care about or care for), lifted. They want 11000 for it. Is that worth it? It's very very very clean too. It looks brand new.

Oh btw it's a Supercab too.

Those kind of deals are really special if the truck truly is unique and clean. You can't really go by normal pricing. We also need more info on the truck. "Lifted" doesn't mean anything, it could be a $200 bodylift on stock tires, or a $6,500 custom long travel kit with custom wheels and tires too.

More info and pics would be nice

Well, not much info there.

Those are Kelley BFG AT wanna-bes...not a bad tire, but not the best. Wheels are polished aluminum, and in need of some work...also fairly inexpensive. The truck itself doesn't appear to be optioned out much- no fogs, and fairly drab interior. Maybe try to get them to low 9's and call it a day if you really like it.

Go down and get specific answers and give it a drive. Some lifted trucks ride like crap...make lots of noise (popping, clunking, clicking etc), and some are fine.

So I shouldn't worry about the mileage?

Thanks for your help too!

Well, it depends. A well cared for Ford engine at 90,000 should have well over 50% of its reliable life left. There was a thread going on around here that had literally THOUSANDS of replies of people with over 200k and 300k miles on original engines- many without major trouble.

So, if it looks and runs good, there's a good chance you can get many more problem free miles out of it. But like anything in life, you can never be sure.

The truck is 7 years old. Some Lifted trucks, but not all tend to develop tranny problems and diff problems. 11k is a lot of money for it. If you decide you don't like it and you want to trade the truck, you will only get 6k for it. If you really like the truck, don't offer the dealership more than $7500. good luck

So I made an appt on Saturday to look at the truck, I get there and the guy tells me he sold it the night before. I didn't mind that he sold it because that is his job after all, I was more irritated that I had gone down there for nothing. He didn't even have the courtesy to call me and tell me the truck was sold.

Anyways I found another F 150 its a 2002 no mods at all except a head unit.

02 XLT with a V6 and 75k for $11888? OUCH!

I paid $7700 for my 03 XL with 55k last fall......a stick shift doesn't reduce the value THAT much.

I got my 2000 2wd supercab 4.6 bone stock w/ 60,000 miles for 13k in 2005. It now has 94k on it and i just changed the plugs yesterday. Only thing i have do to the engine is the plugs. No other problems. Hope this helps.
