Question Buzzing in Trans When Key Off

I have a 1990 F-150 with the 351 A4OD. When the key is off, there is a buzzing coming from the trans pan all the time. It wears my battery down in about 4 hrs. Anyone know what that is? I also have similar problems that another guy wrote about double clunking in reverse but mine shifts too hard between 2-3 shift.

Everything is supposed to be off when the key is off. You may have a stuck power relay that powers the electronic engine control (EEC) module. The transmission recieves it's power through the EEC, also known as the PCM.

Noticed the same thing with my tranny yesterday. 97 f150 supercab 4.6 with the E4OD trans. Have heard the buxxing sound before with the key in accessory or on position and the engine not running. was changing the trans fluid and filter yesterday and noticed the same thing while I was 'bumping' the torque converter over to get to the drain plug. Anyone know or have a WAG? 104,000 miles and no problem yet.
