Synthetic in differential's?
 
Got a 97 f150 w/4.6 and auto,it has 46000 miles,would like to put synthetic in differentials front and back, back has limeted slip, any comments on if I can on rear end? Do I need a special fluid?

The rear diff comes from the factory with synthetic fluid, so there is definitely no problems using it. Front & rear of my Expedition has been running synthetics for a couple of years now with no problems.

Since you have LS, you'll need to get some "Friction Modifier" from Ford. Should cost less than $6 per bottle. Check your owner's manual to see how many you need. Probably just one.
