ATF Change

Transgo shift kit just arrived! I have a '98 4R70W and my question is just how much fluid is required to refill the transmission when I am done with the install? I just had a complete drain and filter change 6000 miles ago so I will not be draining the torque converter this time. Nine, ten quarts maybe???

I put in a transgo kit last weekend in my 4R70W...

I've got a 4x4 which I think has a deeper pan than a 4x2 and it took right at 10 qts to refill. The valve body was off the unit for around 2 hours and the unit drips the whole time the VB is removed so that doesn't help. You might want to do some research on this forum before you follow the kit instructions to the letter, just my 2 cents worth though.
