Cool Which Transmission?

I want to put a Transgo Shift Kit in my truck. I'm not sure which automatic is in it. The code on the transmission is:F7AP-7006-A4. Could someone decipher this so I can order one from Summit? The truck's a '97 4x4 4.6 V-8.My truck has 65,000 miles on it. Does anyone recommend flushing out the transmission? Also how many quarts total would it take to refill it? What's the best brand of fluid? Thanks for any help...you guys rock...

That number you gave is the part number for the case, BTW, the transmission part number will always be XXXX-7000-XX if it's an automatic. For instance, a '00 Lightning is YL3P-7000-CA, the first part is the vehicle program number, the 7000 is the major assembly number for automatic transmissions, the last number is the varient of which transmission assembly, so the CA is the third choice for a 5.4L f-150 with a 4R100, the first being the AA (LEV 4x2), the second BA (LEV 4x4) and the third (LEV S/C 5.4).
Just thought someone might find that interesting.
