Post overdrive on/off

My overdrive on/off switch started blinking. Any ideas what would cause this?
I'm taking to dealer this week.

A blinking overdrive light means the computer has found a problem with the transmission. It could be any of about 50 different things.

Mine started blinking over the holiday weekend in my expy and then started to slam into gear. That Wednesday they were putting in a new trany. Only had 47K. My F-150 has 85K and is running fine so far. I have read about the weak tranys in these trucks but anything can happen, it's a machine. Good luck!
