AAA offers on a free calibration on your car or truck, and if you are a member it is free! Just call and ask when it is offered(once a month) you can get a free plastic credit sise car key too.

Cool

I wonder if they will do it free if it's because of bigger tires or changing axle ratio.
Do they actually recalibrate or just tell you how far off it is?

Cool

They will do it for free once a year or maby more?

No recalibration takes place! AAA just gives you a printout that shows actual speed and indicated speed. And the do reading.

I have 15k (More like 16k with the Speedo corrected) on the truck and at 30k (tires worn) I will check it again just to see how much it has changed. Then average it to get an actual reading. I do not expect that my stock tires will last much longer

My wife's Speedo was off 25%, so when she though she was 50mph she was going 38mph BIG difference, and explained all the people behind of her all the time.

I would take advantage of it if you pay to have AAA.

Most people that had it checked when I went had gotten a speeding ticket.
