Which Shift Kit?

I can't decide which shift kit would be the better. Should I do the TransGo, Bauuman, or B&M. I have a superchip, and I put bigger tires on my truck. I went from 235/75R15s to 275/60R15s <-- are actually 1 inch shorter, so instead of a 3.31 rear end, I have a 3.42. If I wanna chirp my tires on the 1 - 2 WOT shift, could I accomplish this with a TransGo on like lvl1 or will I have to goto lvl2. I dont want harsh shifts when I'm just trying to drive around normally. And does a kit actually extend the life of the transmission, because it reduces the clutch slip which = heat. BTW my truck only has 73k miles on it.

If it's an AOD, go with the Lentech, if it's an E4OD call Sal at PSP www.powersurgeperformance.net and get one of mine, Factory Tech Accumulator Shift Kit, F4

Gregg's valve body won't work with the 4R70W. If you want a complete valve body replacement (this really is the best way to go), you can get a LENTECH or Performance Automatic. Both are very highly rated. You can find reviews at the Mustang forums. If you do any modifications to your vavle body with a shift kit, you are stuck with the results. If you replace the entire valve body, it's completely reversible and it can always be removed and placed in another transmission or sold.

TransGo seems to be more popular than Baumann.

I like the Performance Automatic valve body. Its only $251 thats not bad. Will I get my tires to chirp going from 1-2 with this. If I dont, is there any way to modify it?

I just got the PA Valvebody. it is sitting in my garage. It came with new 1-2 accumulator springs and a new spring for the 2-3 accumulator. I dont know if your tires will chirp. but i think mine will. since i changed the springs and the orface holes seem o be as big as a baumann level 4. ill let you know for sure how it shifts. the only problem with the PA is the directions.... there arent any that are useful. i would get the baumann directions. and use them to install the springs. you may also need washers for the 1-2 accumulator if you have a 97+ tranny.
