Lightning E4OD question...

Unhappy Lightning E4OD question...

Hey guys,

Will a 95 F250 E4OD tranny and converter bolt right in to
a 94 Lightning with a factory E4OD & converter.

It depends on what engine the '95 transmission came from. There were three different bellhousings in 1995. Also, the torque converter might have a different bolt pattern.

sorry....

it was also a 351 Windsor, but not the Lightning motor.

I would think the bellhousing would be the same for all
Windsors in that year range????

The converter might be different, that's what we were
thinking, but as long as it worked, it doesn't matter to
us if it is a little off in the stall or something?????

The deal is we can get the tranny converter and all
for $350, compared to at least $900-$1300 re-done.

All the converters in those years were the 4 bolt, so it will bolt up, the thing you should be concerned about is the regualr E4OD was a lighter duty box than the Lightning Model. The internals are not near as strong, planets, clutches etc...
