Transgo
Transgo
I ordered my Transgo kit yesterday and should have it in about a week or so.
I have the E4OD (4R100) trans., is there anything I should know about the installation process?
I have heard that the video is innacurate and the recommended amount of trans. fluid to have on hand is incorrect per the directions.
How long does the install generally take and what are good tools to have on hand?
Any tips or tricks or time saver suggestions are appreciated.

Not bad at all. I agree, there's limited info. in the video that applies but it's worth watching. It' really easy sonce you're not doing the whole kit.
Fluid, I used 8 quarts to refill after just draining the pan. (did it 3 times until I had the shifts right then drained everything)
It's really handy to have a "speeder". The video mentions that I think. Makes getting all those bolts from the pan accumulator.
Drain the pan as the instruct, it's a breeze but take you time or you could have 2 gallons of AFT in your lap.
I bought a $5 mortor pan from Home Depot (large plastice pan) that fit perfectly under the entire tranny to catch all the stuff.
Have 2-3 cans of cheap parts or carb cleaner on hand to clean up everything.
Take your time, but if you're even somewhat handy under the hood, don't be afraid of it, it's not bad at all (actually fun)
Then go enjoy it!
