Need help please

I have a 2001 f150 heritage. Guy said they put a new trans in it. They swapped the 4.6 to a 5.4 but since ive had it it wont go into od nor will it kick down to pass anyone. Any ideas

When you test drove it, did the trans work okay?

Scan the OBD2 with a capable device for Ford transmission codes. You most likely have an electronic issue.
