Reverse issue??

Hi fellow members.... my 75e is acting crazy. All forward gears are fine and shift normally but when I put it In reverse it feels like i have my foot on the brake. It feels powerful. Not slippy and it does reverse but it feels like I'm trying to force my truck to go over a curb or something..... HELP PLEASE.. THANKS!

What are you working on? We can't see it through the Internet.

Year, make, model, etc. Please.

My vehicle description is in my bio. I thought listing my vehicle in my bio was all I had to do bud. Also thought the 75e was a common transmission. I didn't think it matters what its bolted in. My fault. It's a 07 f-150 supercab

RE: Does it go forward in neutral?

I apologize for the delay. Yes it does slip forward a bit when on neutral.

The forward clutch is dragging. That usually means it overheated and is damaged. If I am correct you need a new trans, or this one rebuilt.

RE: Does it go forward in neutral?

Another question... it's been a few months since I've started the truck. I now recall that it was making a "low power steering fluid" type of noise when in neutral. Like the pump is whining..?? It was getting louder as I let it run and messed with it. I believe the forward clutch is burnt but do you think the pump is also bad? Thanks.

That's something that should be replaced with a rebuild anyway.
