Help

Hello,
First post here, sorry if this is similar to other posts I looked around and could not find the information i am looking for. My question is, I have a 2010 F-150 XLT supercrew with the 5.4L motor. I can not find what transmission i have. It a 4 speed auto. PRND 123. everything is saying its a 6R80 but isn't that a 6 speed transmission? Do they count all gears i.e PRND123?
Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been posted before.

The shift handle doesn't have a position for each gear in the transmission. The 6R80 in your truck has six forward gears. You can't select all six manually.

The only F150 in 2010 that had a 4 speed is the 4.6 2 valve. It had PRND21 with a separate overdrive lockout switch. 1 and 2 are manual selections, OD OFF locks out 4th. You have PRND321 with a tow/haul button. 1, 2, and 3 are manual gear selections, D enables 4th, 5th, and 6th. No way to lock it into any of the top 3 gears. Tow/haul changes the shift strategy and enables engine braking.
