2008 f150 fx2 5.4l help!!!

my trans went out, I bought a trans from a 2008 f150. went to swap them out. they are not the same. the bolt patterns don't match. Everything looks similar, connections all. only difference I can see is marking on bellhousing old one has 91 new one is 71. i have read that the 2008 fx2 is a roush powertrain. if that is true what is the differences. looks like my flywheel is to big to fit in the bellhousing of the new trans.

You sure the transmission didn't come out of a truck with a 4.2 V-6? That does have a different bolt pattern than the 4.6 and 5.4 V-8's.

can I take all the internals, and put them into the original . or will that likely be a problem?

There were only 2 cases made for that transmission in 08. The modular case for the 4.6, 5.4 and V10. And then the case for the 4.2. The modular case has a 3 bolt starter. the 4.2 case has a 2 bolt starter.

There were no other options.

Pics please
