4R70W - Can I use Oreilly global multi vehicle transmission fluid

Please check this link https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/b...lobal1/4601145

Wondering if I can use this fluid in my 2000 F150 automatic xl 8 cyl. it has 4r70w transmission...

I can get 6 quarts for only 8$ ...and I believe I will need only 6 quarts because I only removed transmission pan to replace reverse servo and pistons+springs...I did not completely rebuild so there should be existing fluid in there already...

So that leads to another question..is it ok if I mix the existing fluid ( I dont know brand but I believe its original fluid ) with this oreilly brand?

I may change it sooner than other fluid

From what's legible on the front label, the answer is "no". The rear label is illegible and the description on their web page is useless.

You need a fluid that is compatible with "Mercon V". That one is purporting to be compatible with "SP/LV" which is NOT compatible with the "V" requirements.

That is universal for Mercon/Dexron, it is not Mercon V

Do not use that fluid.

Use Mercon V specificatiuon

Ok thanks...is it ok if I mix mercon v of different brands?
Like I said ..transmission already has fluid in it...but I dont know what brand it is...so as long as new fluid is mercon V ...I am good?

Why don't you drain the torque converter and put all new fluid in? A 2000 should have a drain plug.

Mixing different brands of Mercon V should be fine.

all global universal fluid are compatible GM an Ford share their technology now, unless your under warranty or MERC package SP OR LV continuously var.chain type. The package in Merc V is synthetic base with better antioxidizers.so is the new universal global stuff

Thanks...I did not use that fluid...I used castrol import multi vehicle - 4 quarts (because it said its compatible with ford mercon V requirements and I used 6 quarts of Valvoline mercone V atf ...you may wonder why did I use castrol multi vehicle import ...because I already had those in my garage for long time so just made use of it instead buying more of valvoline

Hi Roadie;
I just came across this post.

Can Motorcraft Mercon V be mixed with Amsoil Multi-Vehicle "Synthetic" ATF in the 2001 ford f150 4r70w?
Thank You

No, not recommended at all. Like I said in your other thread, do it right and drop it all. You can mix different brands of Mercon V specific fluid but not multi-vehicle, synthetic or not.
