transfer case issues ??
ok had transmission rebuilt about a year ago - lost reverse gear. getting grinding noise from under truck, when I slow down it will stop then feel a lurch like its going back into gear.
had trans checked under warrenty and looks good.
however transfer case throwing codes C1079 and C1980
changed IWE solenoid.
but problem doesn't feel like its in the hubs
has anyone had ttransfer case issues or can this just be a transfer motor problem
or a broken fork inside case allowing the planatery gear to float between 4H and 4L
