A couple years ago I replaced my 86 f150's inline six with a 351w and now I am replacing the original 4 speed manual transmission with a ZF 542 manual transmission. I recently discovered that the ZF has an internal slave whereas my 4 speed had an external, I know that this means I have to get a new slave cylinder and master cylinder as well as new lines. Is there anything else new that I will need? Will I have to change anything with my clutch pedal assembly? Also does anyone know if the 86 f150 would have a mechanical or hydraulic clutch?
