2015 4x4 Super Crew, Transmission Slipping

I have a 2015 F150 Lariat, 4x4 SuperCrew, 5.0 V8 that I bought new. It now has 55.000 miles on it. Over the last year I have noticed the transmission "slip" a few times. It typically happens at highway speed when I put my foot on the floor to pass. The engine will rev up but the truck does not accelerate it just makes a audible whine from the gear box area.

Powertrain warranty is 5 years/60k miles. Get it in to the dealer ASAP.

I took it to the dealership. Couldn't replicate the problem; which I expected. But, there were no fault code.

But, I called the Ford Service hotline and requested that they extend the warranty on my truck. THEY DID! Ford extended the warranty to 7 years/100,000 miles. I am very pleased.

Thanks Ford!
