Will tc from 4r75w fit in 4r70w

I need to replace my torque converter in my 05 Ford f150 4.2l v6 automatic xl. The trans currently in my truck is a 4r70w. I can't find any tc local, only 4r75w.
will that fit our is there a difference? I found one source online and they said their tc will fit both.

So are you trying to get a used torque converter?

Its a dacca re-manufactured. Ford wants nearly 400 for a new one.

The ones from Ford are remanufactured and aren't new either.

I would suggest not that one you mentioned. I would try to find one built by Precision of New Hampton for a stock rebuild. Google them and maybe call them to see if there is a supplier in your area. Other than that, the Ford reman is your best bet. Trying to save money on a torque converter is like trying to find a cheap heart doctor.

But yes, as long as the bolt circle is the same, one from a 75 is the same as from the 70. Exactly.
