Question Does 2011 Expedition 6R80 Transmission fits (plug and play) the 2010 F150?

Hi! I'm in the process to change the engine of my 2010 F150 5.4 3V 4X4 (135,000 miles) with an engine from a 2011 Expedition 5.4L 3V. 4X2 As the donor only has 38,000 miles, I'm wondering if it's a good idea to replace motor and transmission. Do you know if the transmission is plug and play with no PCM reprogramming?

Please note my truck has a 4X4 and the Expedition it's RWD I don't know if it matters, one mechanic told me the transmissions are the same but some endings are different.

My transmission it's a 6R80 Automatic and the Expedition also it's a 6R80 Donor's Expedition has VIN 1FMJU1K58BEF04255 and mine it's 1FTFX1EV0AKE67795 I already run the vin decode www.ford-trucks.com/forums/vindecoder.php and it appears as the 2 6R80 are the same with the exact same gears relation.

Hi artgarcia - since your question involves two different vehicles, it will probably get better responses in the Transmission forum.

I see in the other thread the Expedition is a 4x2? If so, the transmission will not fit in your 4x4.

That's correct. I missed the 4x4 and 4x2 part. I wasn't sure about what else might be involved so I didn't reply, but that's a swap killer and makes it a no go.
