Need transmission help please. PLEAAASE

As some of you know, I'm pretty sick. I had a brain tumor removed last year and I'm moving to a smaller house, in a small town, on a small lot. I planned to tow one of my cars across the country behind the F150. Unfortunately, I have a small problem... After my transmission heats up, it only has 1st and 2nd. For the first 30 minutes of driving it's fine - perfect even. The fluid looks great, slightly overfilled.

After 30 minutes or so, it starts to shift a little harsh and a little late, then the OD light flashes and it spits out p0781 p0782. After that it shifts out of first into 2nd fine, but that's all I get. If I rev it up and let off, it coasts like it's in neutral. I'm super close to selling this thing if anyone wants to tempt me.

Should I post this in the F250 section? It's a 2001 6.8 V10 with a unknown year 4R100 4x4. I had a canned tune on the stock 2001 F250 SD PCM, but removed it.

Yeah, I got that from google. I'm, hoping someone will have seen the problem only happening warm and both codes coming in at the same time.

I'd ask a mod to move this to the Transmissions forum. The transmission experts don't look at any other forums.

Yeah, that makes sense. Moderators, if you would please...

I'll report the thread.

You may want to post exactly what you are using for a computer. I know it's in your build thread, but it would help to have that and all pertinent info here.

I decided to throw solenoids in it. Waiting for parts. I figured if it needs a rebuild, I'd do the solenoids anyway. I also decided I'm shipping it and the car it was supposed to tow to Florida. We'll take the Cummins 8.3 RV and tow the Viper behind it. Limo is for sale if anyone in Tucson is interested.

I replaced the shift solenoids along with "reconditioned" valve bodies. I did find that the steel ball for the EPC blow off was badly worn. It was part silver and part black. I put all new check ***** in and new VB gaskets.

Well, it shifts. I don't think there is much life left in this trans. The shifts are lazy and I have the pressure all the way up with the cheap-o Superchips. I still don't have engine braking, but now it's in all gears. I THINK it used to just be 2nd.

Oh, the limo is sold...

Congrats on the sale of the Limo! Hopefully the F150 trans will last a while longer.
