Transmission Identy

I have a automatic transmission out of a 2001 Ford Expidition 2X4 engine was a 4.6L. The number on the side is RF-F7AP-7006-AA. What kind of tranny is this. 4r100 or someting else. I have a person that would like it if it will fit their F-150.

That's a 4R70W and should fit a 2x4 F-150 with a 4.6 or 5.4 that also came with a 4R70W. Depending on year, there may be some sensor differences.

Are you sure the 2003 is a F-150 and has a 4R100? It was VERY rare in the 2003 F-150 except in the supercharged Lightning.

You have a 4R70W and it will not work without modifications in a truck that has a 4R100. Among other things, it will need a different ECU (computer).
