How Can/Would This Work.

So, I just had a 4R100 diesel transmission installed in my 2008 F-150. One of the glitches I'm having is that the F-150's shifter cable not compatible with the 4R100. Natural is my new reverse, drive is my natural, and 2 is my drive. I have to keep trowing the shifter back and forth to lock it on park. Any ideas on how this can be modified? I understand the the F-250's shifter is at the steering column. Just adding an F-250 shifter and shifter cable is not possible since my F-150's shifter is at the center console.

Well a shift lever is just a lever. Perhaps you can lengthen or shorten it as needed to find the right position? Not sure as I have never attempted this.
