chnging rear end gear ratio

I have a 99' f150 with a 7" lift and 37" tires. Having the tranny rebuilt. What can I do to the rear end gears to ease wear on transmission?

Change them to a lower ratio. That would be a higher number, like if you have 3.70 then go to 4.30.

With that big a lift and tires, you need at least 4.56's. If it's 4wd, you also have to change the front gears. You will also need a programmer to correct the speedometer/odometer.
