cooler lines

I've got a 2000 f150 4×4 with automatic transmission. My problem is I had a crack in one of my trans cooler line about a foot from the trans, instead of replacing the entire line I cut out a small section that was leaking. My problem is I'm trying to figure a way to replace it with either a hard line or can I use a hose, if so how?

Yeah just cut the section out and slip/slide the hose over that section. No thinking involved dude.

Ok but if I just slip on a high pressure hose and clamp down won't the pressure eventually blow down the road?

You will need something to hold it in place. Either use hard threaded fittings and flare the line ends or find a way to expand near the end of the line (not sure of the name) so a clamp would have a way to stay on.
