i have a 98 f150, and the overdrive switch broke off the end of the shift lever. the wires are broke as well. I went to the junk yard, and bought one from another f150, for $8. ive searched and searched and cannot find anything on this, is there a write up on how to replace this, or can someone tell me if they've done it? the overdrive in my truck is currently on and i need it to be off! its very annoying trying to pass on the highway and it goes to 3rd and back into OD as soon as i hit the gas. and i have to haul a trailer.

any help would be greatly appreciated!
