Gears

If I put a 3 inch body lift on my 2003 Ford f-150 and I add like 28 inch tires should I worry about the gears or anything ? The tires will actually probably be smaller then that I'm wanting more like 20 inch tires, but somewhere in that range.

28 inch tires are about what the stock size should be, the 20 inchers will make it look absolutly stupid...

^This. If you are going with a lift, you want to go bigger tire, not smaller. 33's at a minimum.

Are you talking rim dia or tire height??

28" tall tires are CAR tires..

20" rims are different all together..

I've got 32" tall tires on a 16" rim (LT265/75/16)

3" body lift, you'd want 33" tires at the minimum.. My 32" look fine on a NON LIFTED rig..

Until you get over 33" tall tires, you don't have to worry too much about 'gears'..
