Yes, it will be difficult.
You will need to swap the engine, transmission, wiring harness, and engine computer.
The transmission will be difficult because the transmission with the Lightning will be a 4x2, your 1997 is a 4x4. You will need to change the output shaft in the transmission from a 4x2 shaft to a 4x4 shaft. You will also need to change the extension housing from a 4x2 to a 4x4. The parts from your old transmission may not fit, depending on which transmission is in the 1997.
To change the output shaft you have to completely tear down the transmission and rebuild it with the new shaft.

Thank you Mark for your prompt answer
I tought i could use only the engine on my transmission it's a 4r70w and also run it on my computer and have some body tune it for me . I have read people putting 5.4 on theyre truck and only change the comp setting . Is it because it's super charged??
Thank you Randolph

You might be able to find someone that could make your computer and transmission work with the supercharged engine. It would probably cost less to do what I listed. The stock 4R70W transmission probably won't last more than a few minutes behind a supercharged 5.4L.
