Tranmission Bump and Grind
 

Hey guys I got an emergency-

Short story wife and new born are stuck and I am stuck at work. Friend just picked them up so we are good there.

But this is what happened we think tranny-

• Reverse as usual out of driveway (we never use parking brake), during the reverse wife heard and felt a lound bump like she 'hit a car or something'.

• Put truck in park checked out scene and she hit nothing so she hopped back in and continued to reverse with no issue.

• Few minutes into drive heard noise like she was 'dragging something' so she pulled over into neighborhood and into someone's driveway. checked but nothing obvious to her

Now she is stuck in a stranger's driveway and the truck will not go into reverse, it does move forward but she thinks there is some resistance. I had her cyle the e-brake just to double check and it had no effect.

I guess first question is WTF happened!? I am guess the tranny went out (duh!!).

How can I get the truck out of the driveway?

Suggestions-I will be going to the truck ASAP, I appreciate input thanks!

Put it in neutral and push it. If that fails, call a tow truck.
