transmisson problem
before i toolk my truck to a autoshop i wanted to ask if anybody knew anything about this before i went and spent all the money a shop costs

Most likely your Manual Lever Position Sensor (MLPS) is failing.

Depends on the transmission - assuming an E4OD an aftermarket sensor is about 50 bucks.

i took it to the shop today and they took a look at it and i mentioned that might be the problem and they told me thats not the problem cuase its not showing up on the tests

It usually won't show up in tests. If you use a scan tool to monitor PRNDL sometimes you can see it jump from D to N. Usually I just change the sensor because the fault happens so fast it is hard to detect. It NEVER will set a code.

i mean like when u accelerate the truck will jump out of gear as in like gear 1-5 not from drive to neutral
