Installed Shift Kit Now Truck Won't Move?
I just finished installing the Factory Tech shift kit and when I put it in gear the truck won't go anywhere. I installed everything according to the instructions and plugged the sensors back in etc but when I try it in any gear the truck just revs and won't go anywhere...any idea what could be the problem??

I take that back it only moves when I put it in "1"
|
Also per the instructions I took the spring out of 2-3 piston and on the 1-2 piston I used the factory tech spring up top and one of the original springs on the bottom...

Might want to try the Trans forum on this site. I would.
BTW- Have you re-booted ? That would be the first thing I would try. This not only clears the KAM's AF's, but it clears Trans tables. Not sure that will help, but it's worth a shot. I tuned my trans as well, thru hardware, - about 3 years ago. Reason: I wouldn't move as well, just slip. Hows Reverse ? BTW- Post your trans model, you have NO info top right corner, - not even a signature. So, if you want help, post engine, trans, tow package every post until you get your info filled in correctly. |
My bad I'll get that updated it's a 98 F150 4x4 with the 4R70W transmission

Is it possibly just a bad valve plate? I took it back apart and everything else looks fine....wtf
|
I got it fixed I didn't have that manual valve lever or whatever lined up right lol
|
Thanks I been lookin at that one too. Good news!
I got it fixed. It was that manual valve lever or whatever I didn't have it lined up correctly so it didn't have nothin to grab on when I put it in gear. |

 time flies.
Yeah I had just ran my whole right arm through the press, crushed my hand and forearm all the way up to my elbow, I never knew my arm would fit through a 3/16"-1/2" tall gap |
