It has to come from a vehicle that uses the modular bellhousing pattern to work on a lightning and it would also have to be from a 2wd vehicle.

Modular bellhousing pattern is what - 4.6, 5.4, 6.8, but not a diesel?

it should work, and can be converted to 2WD from a 4WD given the tailshaft bolt pattern is the same. Essentially the 4R100 in the gas jobs is the same from series to series. As for the electrical I am almost 90% sure it will work, I wish I was at my shop right now I could say yes or no lol

so will it work with the lightning ecm too or what

JayPhoenix 03-28-2010 08:14 PM

yes it should be direct, if not the 2 things you need to llok at is the 2 speed sensors on the side of the transmission, and the electrical on the Valve body, if they are the same it "should" work no issue....
