Slave Cyl. ???

Slave Cyl. ???

I have an 01 F-150 with the 4.2 V6 and a 5speed Manual . I am fixing to replace the slave cyl due to leaking severly . Will I need any special tools for the job ? I know how to deal with removal of tranny and clutch and all . Also what tranny fluid is recomended and how much ?Thanks

To remove the hydraulic line from the slave you have to push a white plastic band into the quick disconnect fitting. There is a special tool that is available but two flat screwdrivers pushing at opposite sides will also work. Here is a pic of the fitting showing the white unlock band.
