Vibration @ Downshift

I have had this vibration for a few months now but it seems to be getting worse. At freeway speeds above 50mph under power with the torque converter unlocked the truck will downshift from 4th to 3rd with vibration. Does this sound like a transmission issue? Could it be drive line related? Bad u joint? It only does it at that exact scenario as I explained.

Yea, its got 87,000 miles on it. The local Tranny guy wants $2400 for an upgraded rebuild. I just took it over to Ford for a second opinion.

My '01 F150 w 90K on it does this. At highway speeds cruising when I hit an incline it stumbles to down shift. Upshift is fine. Just had the oil & filters changed and the TC oil changed too. After 1,000 miles its doing it again.
did anyone find a fix yet?
