I have a 95 5.8 with 3 sp w/ 150,000 When I slow down to stop I have a loud clunk . I first thought it was the rear end but it not. It only make a noise when coming to a stop. If I cut off the OD its a little less noisy. If I shift down to second it not there at all. So if I down shift before I stop I can drive the truck. Does any one have any ideals what the problem is ?? This trans has a 20 bolt pan . What other years or other makes of Ford has this type of transmision ?
