Lookin for input!

Hey guys. I got a 2008 stx with the 4.6l v8 4wd. The truck has 13,000 miles on it and today I was pulling away from a stop light and when the truck went to shift into 2nd gear (automatic by the way) it just didnt go. It's like it slipped right into neutral. I pulled over, put it in park and back to drive and its been fine all day since. This has never happened before and I'm curious if any of you guys know what could be wrong or have had this happen to you. And if so...what did you do to fix it. I'm also thinking though that this may have just been a flook tranny slip and its nothing to worry about. Let me Know guys!!!

Dude, it's a brand new truck and still under warranty. Don't take any chances. Bring it in to the dealer and let them check it out. Even if it was a one time only thing, at least you will have it documented as a problem, just in case it happens again.

its just weird how its been running fine ever since. I ran my truck this evening until it was warm and decided to check the atf. I let the truck cool a bit since I had been going off and on in traffic and then checked it exactly how the manual instructed. It seemed that my atf was low because the dipstick read that my fluid was barely making it to the recommended portion (the checkered region) of the dipstick. I'm going to add some fluid and see how it goes from there.
