Name this part...

What is the name of the part that is between the Transfer Case and the Transmission on a 2002 Ford F150 4x4? It is just a hollow housing that connects the two.

Thank you!

Where can I find the gasket? Do I have to get it at the Ford Dealership? None of the parts stores know what I am talking about.

Which end, the transmission side of the extension housing or the transfer case side of the housing?

I think you are going to be stuck with going to a Ford dealer for that one.

As long as you have the 4R70W
Part # F6AZ-7086-A
list price $15.49

Most dealerships will stock that part. If it's a 4R100 then I don't have the part info handy.
