Torque converter??

Hi, I have a 93 f 150 two wheel drive with a 5.0, and an automatic transmission with overdrive. When a get up to approx. 30 mph it starts to shudder and it only gets worse with acceleration until about 36-37 mph and then it continually get less instense as I continue to increase speed. It is not the tires, or the drive shaft. I have taken off the drive shaft completely and then put it in gear and increased the rpms on the motor, it still did the same kind of shuddering. I have checked the motor mounts and transmission mounts and all appear to be proper. Does anyone have any ideas? Could it the torque converter? If it is the torque converter, why does it start to shudder only around 30 mph?

Thanks

It only shakes when in drive, but not in park. In park I increase rpms and it runs very smoothly. Could it still possibly be a miss fire?

Thanks

Yes, because in drive it's under a load.

Hmm, what about when I have the drive shaft off and I put the truck in drive and it has the shuddering and then when I put it in park, it feels fine. Is that enough of a load to cause a missfire?
