Transmission Compatibility

WIll a 4r70w from a 1999 F150 fit a 1995 f150 that had a 4r70w? found a cheap low miles tran. I am hopeing i can use it while i build the other one.

I speak under correction but I think the bellhousing bolt pattern on 4.6/5.4 modular and L6/302/351 pushrod are different.

Yup, black is right. The 4.6/5.4 bellhousing bolt-pattern is different than the old Windsor small-block bolt-pattern. I believe there are some differences in the electrical connectors too once you get past 97 so the harness won't be a direct plug-in either.

To the OP...
What engine are you running in your '95?

I am running a 302 in the 95. The guy told me the 1999 was a 4.6 liter
