Question on tc or u joint

When i accellerate up to 70mph on the express way it seems like i get more and more of a humming/ vibrating noise. and it seemes that the torque convert is sticking alittle, when i let off you can feel the trans drag me down some. When i put it in neutral it all goes away. Can some one please help me out here?

I have a 2001 supercab xlt with the 5.4l and 4x4 if this helps.
I have a edge programmer but it does this with it installed and uninstalled.

Please give me a idea where to start.
Thanks

what do you have the edge at? when i was playing with my edge to get it where i wanted i know it would drag when i took my foot off the gas.

if i remember correctly it was changing the shift speed that seemed to effect it the most.

..edit..

sometimes it takes a little bit for the new parameters to adjust to your driving so switching from the edge to stock and back without giving it some drive time could cause this.

sounds like your tc or tranny is starting to have issues.

you could also try unplugging the battery overnight and connecting it back up to reset the computer.

40k isnt too unreasonable to do another flush. Have you ever changed the filter?
