Hey bud, I tool a lot of pictures last time I installed the transgo kit but it was on an E40D tranny. I think they are mostly in my gallery if you want to take a look. I'm going to take it out of that transmission and put it in a different one this weekend though, so I'll take new pics and see about finishing that writeup that I started on the job.

You just need a 10mm and a Torx set - and fluid of course. Transgo Kit 2 years ago - Best $100 I ever spent. Trans slip so bad , couldn't brake torque on wet pavement - It slip when taking off normally from a traffic stop.

Did a full flush - didn't help. Installed the Transgo kit and was amazed - still am. - Shifts quick (no pause) - Can brake torque if I want on dry concrete.

It sure beat the cost of a rebuilt, new or used trans and it's an easy install. 1 1/2 hrs if you take your time.

Well I can vouch for Transgo - so can many others. Who is transtec ? If I have to ask that question, that tells me their not that popular - if you got the name right that is. Why didn't you go with a proven kit ?

If you come here first and ask about modding anything , you''ll get pointed in the right direction.

i did the transgo kit on my 4r70w a few miles ago, something around 170k. woke her up pretty good with the 4.6 in front of it, it made it to 196k that way until i put a 5.4 lightning in front of it for the last 2k miles.

its an easy kit to do too, i had a hand in a splint and still did it.

Don't worry about it - I NEVER heard anything bad about the Transgo kits. I know quite a few people that's been running them for awhile now. Troyer wouldn't sell it if it was bad on the trans. It's a great kit!!

I heard of other kits that cause problems - J-mods as well.

A Fab-Tech valve body is nice too - Like all of their products.

lol no J I didn't have enough free time to do it last weekend so I'm doing it this weekend. I put the gallery number in on the preferences so let me know if you can see the pics now. Hey, how did you strain/filter the transmission fluid when you re-used it that one time? just like a towel or something?
