I have a 2000 F-150 XLT which just turned 100,000 miles. When in reverse and backing up slowly, there is a squeaking noise when cluch is engaged. It stops as soon as clutch pedal is depressed. It is now happening when traveling at low rpm's in first gear.

Can you suggest what is causing this?

My guess is a failing universal joint in the driveshaft.
