clunk noise

clunk noise

I own a 06 sc 4x4 and when I touch the brake there is a clunking noise coming from the shifter in the center console.I haven't heard this before and want to know if this is suppose to happen?

More or likely its the interlock solenoid on the gear shift. The one that lets you shift out of park when you press the brake pedal.

That is what I was thinking.Is it suppose to make that clunking noise?

Some are louder then others. I don't hear mine from my stereo being cranked with SRV on cd.
