WOT transmission "squeek"

I've noticed lately that when im running through the gears, my 1-2 upshifts seem to make a squeek noise while shifting gears. The truck is at 40K miles so do you think a tranny service will do the trick?

Hello, welcome to the Forum.

I do belive the source of your "squeek noise" when the tranny shifts is indeed not the transmission but your serpentine belt slipping on the crankshaft pulley. This same "squeek noise" happens on my truck sometimes on WOT shifts. The crank shaft changes to a slower speed after first gear so fast that the centrifugal force of the belt, along with the accessories spinning at high speed (or the tourqe) causes it to slip hence the squeek that sounds like an out of ajustment serp. belt. I would service your serp. belt and maybe add some belt dressing, this should fix it.

Your belt is slipping. Belt dressing won't fix this. You need a Gatorback belt, available from Troyer Performance.
