Speedometer

I have been working on a 1988 F150 4x4. Need info on speedo drive gear in transfer case. Friend at Ford dealership can't help. The plastic gear appears worn out on the output shaft & speedo works when I turn the little driven gear by hand. Either need part number or business that can help. Truck has 3.55 gears & 235/75 R15s & yellow 18 tooth driven gear. Any help please.

Here's another link with a calculator & speedo gear colors/PNs, but it's set up for CVs.

Since you already know what gear you need, it should be simple to get the replacement. Have you checked places like RockAuto.com, 1stFordParts.com, or another dealership? Why does this guy say he can't get you one?

Tried 1stFord just now & said no items in current category for 88 f150 speedometer gear. I may not be doing something right. I could'nt get anywhere with RockAuto either. Thanks Steve & let me know if one of you get a second & get one of these sites to work with my info.
Also talked to Transmission center on the phone for a minute today. Probably will get back with them.
My closest dealer said all he could do was try VIN in his lookup. Tried it then said no luck just to old when past 10 years old.
My friend at another dealer has been Ford parts man for at least 25 years & can always impress me with his smarts but the dealer he has worked at for the last 8 or 10 years doesn't have the old catalog or info.
