what transmission do i have
 
does anyone know what transmission a 1999 f150 4.2 litre automatic 2x4 would have?

it just recently gave out on me at 320000 km, so i need to know what years i can put in it and what its called

It's a 4R70w or a M5OD-R2.

pROBABLY A 4R70W YOU CAN CK THE PAN SIZE SHOULD BE 13 X 13

i already looked there im checking to see if everyone thinks that information is correct. because in there it says i can get any transmission from a 1994 150 all the way to the 2007 f150s and they will fit in my 99 f150. dont sound right to me

Sounds correct to me. Ford has been making the 4R70W for many years now.

Since you say '94+ I'm guessing you are automatic. If so, a two wheel drive 4R70w from a 302 or 4.2L will bolt up. The 4.6L or 5.4L 4R70w has a different bell pattern.
