Looking for new torque converter
 

I have a 2004 f150 with the 4r75 trans... will the same torque converts for the 4r70 work for my trans?

If you had trouble with your first you probably want a better converter. The 4r75 is the strongest oem converter so you definately do not want the lighter duty 4r70w unit.
I'm not sure where madison kentucky is but I am near cincinnati and I can rebuild that converter for you, likely while you wait.

I am wanting to upgrade to a new converter.. with like a 3000 stall. I can't find any to fit the 4r75E.. but I find plenty for the 4r70w.. My question is if they are one in the same as far as converts go.

Yes, I have a very nice suggestion on the converter as well. I build the units for Factory Tech.

Factory tech products are good, I'm sure. But they're a little pricey. Over a grand for a torque converter is a little steep for me.

The 4R70W/4R75W converters are considerably less than $1000.

Factory Tech it's not good as everybody thinks Kendrix, just read Rafa26's post and see the problem that he has now because of the factory tech converter.

His truck right know runs a break in tune way too far of his goal for the street and the TC can not keep up with 570rwtq. Rafa was very disappointed because of the Factory Tech false advertisement, they said their TC was a 3 plate and could handle any kind of power but Rafa26 investigated and found out that the TC is a single plate and it's a piece of Sh!#.

HI!... Go with a P.I (PRECISION INDUSTRIES) stall converter. I ballooned 4 converters in my truck until I went with a P.I. No problems now. Just remember, you get what you pay for. :fyi:

It really depends on who builds it. The QC at Jasper IMO isn't what it should be in the converter department. I guarantee if I built it it is what it is supposed to be. I haven't built a converter for factory tech in almost 2 years, this thread is old. The shop I worked for that I built them for Factory Tech no longer builds any converters I opened my own shop about 2 months ago.
