Shifter

I am planning on getting a Hurst Short Shifter for my 1995 Ford I6 F-150. I was wondering if anyone has gotten an aftermarket shifter and if you noticed anything different. thx.

P.S. I have a 5 speed manual

If you have internal linkage on the shifter, like my '99, you will have more noise from the shifter. Like a vibration noise. I'm getting to the point that I don't notice the noise. I would NOT go back to the stock shifter!!! Really makes a difference in shifting!

Is the hurst shifter closer to the seat...ie eaiser to grab from a relaxed seating position. Also is it about the same height or higher or lower? Thanks.

I thought I had a better pic. The shifter is closer to the seat and a bit shorter.
